Planning Approach

The main thing that you should decide is how you are going to approach the job market and how you are going to develop and establish the best campaign strategy for selling your value as a future employee to your future employer.

The resultant job search plan should contain targets that are SMART. This means that these targets should be:

  • Specific,
  • Measurable,
  • Achievable,
  • Relevant and
  • Time based.

These are known as SMART objectives from the bold first letters of each of the earlier descriptive words. It is important to work in a SMART way, as there is no point in being busy in a way that will not lead to the right job.
